Sharing Our History...

The Peacham Congregational Church believes that the Peacham Meetinghouse should be open to all as a community center and gathering place. For over 200 years, the Meetinghouse has hosted concerts, meetings, community suppers, receptions, weddings, memorial services, and fellowship events.

In recent years, the Meetinghouse has hosted PamFest concerts and events, Town Meetings, choral and Peacham School concerts, weddings and memorial services, Fall Foliage Day dinners and an informational meeting at the recent pandemic’s outset, to name several of many other gatherings. Currently our Social Hall is occupied during the weekdays by the Children’s Academy.

Facilities Information

Both The Sanctuary and the Social Hall & Kitchen are available for use by members of the public through our application process.

The Church staff has the right to reject any applications that are not compatible or compliant with the Church Mission Statement.  Availability of the Meetinghouse spaces is dependent on the appropriateness or compatibility of the proposed event with this space’s use as a House of Worship by the Church and other faith-based organizations.

No alcohol is permitted on the premises.

  • Check the Availability Calendar (or contact the Administrator) to find an appropriate date and space, either the Sanctuary or the Social Hall.

  • Read all the information on this page and the other pages under "User Information."

  • Upon approval of requested calendar dates, sign the agreement, and submit the online User Application.

  • The Administrator will respond in a timely manner.

  • Once approved for space use, the User can then schedule to meet with the Meetinghouse Manager at the facilities and receive an orientation tour.

    • At that time the User delivers a deposit check (made out to the Peacham Congregational Church). The balance will be due 24 hours before the start of the event.

  • Checks can be mailed PRIOR to the meeting to Peacham Congregational Church, PO Box 205, Peacham, VT 05862

    • Protocols and cleaning requirements are explained here.

    • If the event will be unattended by the Administrator, the user is given a key code.

  • The Meetinghouse Manager checks the hall and returns the deposit check unless there are issues
